site), they originate from Cleveland, Ohio, and in the early years used to hang out with The O'Jays, Bobby Womack, Edwin Starr, Dazz Band, Bobby Harris, they were all from the same region, Paris let's us know of his and
his fathers' surprise to hear of the current popularity of the track "Love is a trap" recorded by Cleveland Robinson in the 60's, which according to Paris was popular on local radio stations at the time of it's release. In the 70's Cleveland recorded an album on his own label which has turned out to be a pretty rare album called NOSNIBOR (Robinson spelt backwards) the track played is I got yours you got mine, and hopefully will get a UK release as soon as they can get a deal on it, as they are in discussions this week
with several record Companies. John Smith introduces the next track which is John Wilson of the group Sly, Slick and Wicked, back in the 70's when the O'Jays returned to Cleveland they would cut songs on numerous
local acts, and before release of the tracks they were inevitably called back down to Philly, so there is a whole raft of these tracks unissued at the moment, and they are currently trying to get a licensing deal in the
UK for release, tracks include artists such as Imperial Wonders, Truth, solo members of the O'Jays, Bobby Massey plus many more, in total 125 master tapes, the track now playing is an unreleased production of John
Wilson's by Walter Williams – Look what they're doing to us. Next an unreleased track by The Imperial Wonders – We won't miss it. John Wilson has got together with Mary Wilson (Supremes), Carl Thomas (Drifters), Arlene Smith (Chantelles), Herb Reed (Platters), and many others to form The Truth in Rock Organisation and also FAME "friends against musical exploitation", the idea is to put a stop to bands and artists who purport to be the artists that they are not.
